What people ask us most
Do I have to track my trip or share my location?
Never. Troven doesn’t track you in the background or follow your location. It reads the place saved in each photo you upload. Traveling right now? Start a Live Trip and add each day’s photos as you go, still with no tracking.
Who can see my trips?
You decide. New trips start public (anyone can see them, and they can show up in Explore). Before saving, or anytime later, you can switch to followers only or private, which means only you and your travel buddies. Private trips don’t earn magnets.
How does Troven build an itinerary from my photos?
It reads the date and location saved in each photo and orders your stops into a map, route and timeline automatically. Photos without a location, or sent over WhatsApp? On the web Troven asks where you were: add the towns in order and it sorts the photos into them, or let the AI guess. You can also add your tips by text or a quick voice note.
What can I make from a single trip?
An animated route video, travel posters (by AI or from templates) and an interactive map you can share, all built from your photos. The video renders on your device, with the tab open; if your device can’t, our servers finish it and notify you when it’s ready.
Is Troven free?
Yes: creating trips, maps and route videos is free.
Are Troven magnets physical?
No. Troven magnets are digital collectibles for the Virtual Fridge on your profile. Publish a finished trip, public or for your followers, with enough photos and each city or country with several of your shots earns you one, up to six per trip. Nothing is printed or shipped.
Can I share one trip with the friends I traveled with?
Yes. Invite them as Travel Buddies: everyone adds their own photos to the same trip and the post appears on all of your profiles.
Are the trips on Troven real?
Yes. Troven is real travelers sharing real journeys, not AI-generated content. The AI only helps you build and share faster. The stories stay human.
